The aim of the Attorney General’s Chambers Social Committee is to plan, organize and execute events that seek to encourage staff members to participate in a more relaxed environment and to socialize with each other.
The Committee comprises of staff members from the various Units that form the Attorney General’s Chambers. This includes, the Administration Unit which is represented by Mrs. Deana Tertullien – Human Resource Officer; the Legislative Drafting Unit which is represented by Ms. Tricia Cypal – Deputy Director of Legislative Drafting; the Financial Intelligence Authority which is represented by Ms. Bernadette President - ; the Registry of Companies and Intellectual Property which is represented by Ms. Andrea Hippolyte - ; the Advice and Litigation Unit which is represented by Ms. Tina Louison – Senior Crown Counsel and Kozel Creese – Crown Counsel ; Ms. Gemma Cyril –Secretary; Gisele Joseph – Secretary.
On October 26, 2018, the Committee planned a Creole Day Lunch which was held at the Reception area at the Registry of Companies and Intellectual Property. Staff members dressed in their creole attire and made their contributions towards the feast of creole cuisine.
On December 15, 2018 the Committee also organized a Christmas Sunset Boatride from the Rodney Bay Marina to Marigot Bay. The staff enjoyed an end of year Christmas party on the waters while sailing away in the hands of Captain Griffith on board the Endless Summer.
Traditionally, the Attorney General’s Chambers has also organised fundraising activities towards its Annual Christmas Hamper Drive to assist the needy and vulnerable. As part of its fundraising activities the Committee planned a Jumble Sale in September and a Raffle in December, 2018.
